My trip to Korea comes with much anticipation. I haven't been to the motherland in 14 years, and this time around, I'm looking forward to 2 things in particular: 1) Getting a guided tour of my parents' places of significance when they were growing up. It will give me an insight into their life like never before. 2) Wandering aimlessly with my camera while befriending people and grubbing well along the way. (I suppose I could add "meeting my favorite Korean girl groups"to the list of things to look forward to, but it's not a given unless I stalk. So ... yes, add it to the list then).
Long flights are so grueling. I think this is why God created Korean Airlines. The complimentary disposable slippers, the legendary bibimbap in-flight meal, and the KAL flight attendants' uniforms magically made the 12 hour flight seem like a piddly 11 hours.
The first stop in our trip - Cheju Island. I will be posting pics from the island and the hotel soon. For now, though, I will leave you with just one picture because jet lag is beating me soundly. It's a picture of me testing out a hammock next to the outdoor hotel pool. It was damp.
Good night ^^
Less talk, more Picts. :)
