Gwang Hwa Moon Square is this massive courtyard plaza in front of a
beautiful historical palace. On one end of the square is a large statue of
Great King Sejong.
A different angle of
King Sejong taken from the subway stairs.
On the other end is a forbearing statue of Admiral Yi
Soon-Shin.
This square draws tourists from many countries because a popular Korean tv
series called “Iris” filmed an epic fight scene here. A friendly Korean tour
guide walked around the square, talking to visitors and explaining Korean
history. He was dressed like an imperial palace guard. I took a photo of him
meandering. His colors stood out so well!
I’m noticing I like
women in uniform:
Eun (Jason) and I live 350
miles away from each other in California, so we did the logical thing and decided to meet halfway, in
Korea. @ Coffee Bean in Myung-Dong, with our good friend Kim HyunJoong winking
at us from outside.
Speaking of Coffee Bean, it just doesn’t sound the
same in Korean …
Finally, I leave you today with this.
Churros. Slush. Beer.
hahaha! roy, you crack me up!
